Some collaborations just feel like they were meant to happen.
We had been LOVING Jenny Lemons for a while. Their colorful, super cute hair clips are so fun, and honestly, made us smile. Basically, they felt right at home in the Oh Clem universe.
So, we decided to shoot our shot. π
We reached out to the Jenny Lemons team to see if they'd be interested in dreaming up something together. They said yes, and that's when the fun really began.
First things first: What should we make?!
We started by talking through upcoming campaigns and tossing around ideas for what an Oh Clem Γ Jenny Lemons collection could look like.
Eventually, we landed on one very delicious idea:
A cookout. ππππ₯€π¦
Jenny Lemons already had their Cookout collection designed, filled with the most adorable food-inspired hair clips.
And once we saw them, we couldn't help but think...wouldn't it be ridiculously cute if there were earrings and charms that matched?!
The answer was obviously YES.
And just like that, our Cookout collaboration started taking shape.
From Hair Clips to Huggies
This is where the collaboration got really fun.
The Jenny Lemons team shared their original design files with us, and our Oh Clem design team got to work figuring out how to translate their artwork into teeny-tiny, wearable jewelry.
And trust us, making something tiny isn't always as simple as shrinking it down!
Our team recreated Jenny's artwork as earring designs, working through different shapes, sizes and styles to figure out what would translate best from a hair clip into an Oh Clem piece.
Originally, we even designed stud earrings as part of the collection. But as we worked through the different iterations, we realized the designs really came to life as Huggie Hoop Charms and 3D Huggie Hoop Earringsβ’.
So, we pivoted.
That's one of the things we love about the design process: sometimes the final product isn't exactly what you pictured when you started...and that's a good thing.
Getting Every Tiny (and Tasty) Detail Just Right
Our team worked closely with our manufacturing partners to make sure we could capture all the little details that made Jenny's original artwork so specialβthe colors, textures, shapes and teeny-tiny details that make you immediately know exactly what you're looking at.
Because if you're going to wear a tiny hamburger on your ear, it needs to be a really cute tiny hamburger. ππ
Seeing the matching pieces together for the first time was one of those okay, this is REALLY happening moments...and it's so DARN CUTE!
But Wait...They Needed Matching Packaging Too!
Obviously, we couldn't create an entire matching collection and then stop at the jewelry.
The packaging needed a little collab magic, too.
We created a special Oh Clem Γ Jenny Lemons co-branded bag featuring both of our logos so each bundle could arrive together as one complete little package of cuteness.
Jenny Lemons shipped all of their Cookout clips to our team, and then it was assembly time!
Our crew paired every clip with its matching earrings or charms, packaged the sets in their special bags, and got everything ready for launch.
Then we divided the finished collection and sent half of the bundles back to Jenny Lemons so both of our communities could shop the collaboration.

And then, finally...
LAUNCH DAY! π
After all the brainstorming, artwork, samples, revisions, manufacturing, packaging and planning, our little Cookout collection was finally ready to meet the world.
We launched a collection of coordinating Jenny Lemons hair clips and Oh Clem jewelry, along with additional Oh Clem earrings and Huggie Hoop Charms that could be purchased separately.
Tiny burgers? Check.
Lemonade? Obviously.
Cola cans? Yep.
Ice cream? Of course.Ketchup and mustard? Somehow...also extremely cute.Β
And We Got to Celebrate Together!Β
One of our favorite parts of this collaboration was getting to introduce you to the people behind it.
We hosted a Live with Jenny Lemons, where we got to show off the Cookout collection together and chat about Jenny's business, artwork and the creativity behind her brand.
We love getting to know the people behind the brands we collaborate with and we especially love getting to bring YOU along for it.
Because collaborations like this aren't just about putting two logos on a product. They're about taking the things each brand does best and figuring out what we can create together.
From Their Sketchbook to Your EarsΒ
What started with us admiring some ridiculously cute hair clips turned into one of the yummiest Oh Clem drops we've ever created.
Jenny Lemons brought the artwork.
We turned it into jewelry.
Our teams obsessed over all the tiny details.
And together, we created something that feels perfectly Jenny Lemons Γ Oh Clem.
We couldn't have had more fun cooking this one up.
